- 01I am a person-centered counselor, which means that I believe YOU are the expert of your own life and I am just here to be a guide in your unique journey. I use an integrative, expressive approach, meaning I use different techniques to help you express and navigate emotions in a way that feels relevant to YOU. I offer play therapy, expressive arts techniques, and a narrative approach, integrating trauma-focused CBT, ACT, and an identity development lens to ensure that I meet you where you are.Therapy is for you, so I want to ensure that I can help you build the tools you need to tackle life.
- 02People come to therapy for lots of reasons: working through trauma, exploring their relationships, navigating confusing feelings, or simply finding someone to talk to who "gets it." No matter your why, I'm here to help you find a soft spot to land -- and if you're still unsure, schedule a consultation to determine whether therapy is a good fit for you.
- 03No; I primarily work with children, teens, and families. Because no one exists in a vacuum, I believe in helping individuals and families build the tools they need to maintain a supporting, nurturing space. This may look like individual sessions with children and teens, parent coaching sessions, and family sessions. - 04This is one of the most common questions people have when starting a new service, and understandably so. Prices range based on the type of session, and I offer flexible payment options to help offset the cost of treatment. - 05I am in-network with most major insurance carriers, including Aetna, Cigna. BCBS, MedCost, and more. I accept NC Medicaid, and I can offer a superbill to assist with reimbursement for out-of-network expenses. During our free consultation call, we will discuss whether I'd be a good fit for you based on your needs.
